Yoga came into Chris's life right at the moment when he needed it the most. Practicing yoga on and off since 2000, he didn't truly connect to the power of the practice until 2012. Chris was dealing with multiple medical issues, including a torn meniscus, arthritis, and tendonitis. Through his yoga practice, Chris strengthened his body and mind, came off the debilitating medications that were destroying his well-being, and learned what it meant to be of service to others.
The impact Chris's yoga practice had on his life and relationships inspired him to share the gift of yoga with others. Chris is a full-time yoga teacher and a true believer that a dedicated yoga and meditation practice can change a person's body, life, and way of being. Chris has completed over 300 hours of training with the Baptiste Yoga Institute and has served on the Baptiste Yoga team for multiple trainings. He also has an additional 200-hour training certification from a Baptiste affiliate studio and completed multiple other 25-hour certifications and trainings.
Chris works with yogis of all ages, levels, and backgrounds, including athletes, children, and students with differing exceptionalities. Chris is currently a teacher and the Director of Teacher Development for Small World Yoga. He works closely with Metro Nashville Public Schools to help bring mind-body awareness programs and trainings into the learning environment, including teaching teachers to teach yoga and meditation, teaching yoga to faculty and students, and helping schools create yoga programs and clubs. Chris loves teaching others to share their passion so they can inspire others to live the biggest versions of their lives.
